Whether you’re icing a lovingly home made cake, or rushing to impress by icing a store bought cake – this simple, fast icing is delicious and satisfies that sweet tooth craving.
1 cup of Le Gall cream cheese
1/2 cup of butter
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
2 cups of castor sugar
Blend the cream cheese and butter until smooth, add the essence and sugar, and mix well. Use a spatula to spread this sweet delight over your cake.
This is especially good on carrot cakes, but will work well for almost any baked treat.
Scatter over some slivered almonds, pecan nut slices or crushed peanuts for added oomph.
To make it a chocolate spread, simply add in a ¼ cup of cocoa powder.
